Paths

All of us want to find our way. We want to move from the place we are to somewhere we imagine is better. This journey takes over. Forward through things we sometimes plan for and often times don't.  The journey to the place where you can truly capture it as you feel it is still an elusive journey  that feels as far off as when I began. But each click each, processing , each curation  there is another footfall on the path in that journey. Like life sometimes we moving haltingly, sometimes we run but hurtling forward  we keep doing what we need to do.

But along that  path sometimes you have to look out and gaze at the world outside and learn and breathe it in in all its ugliness and all its beauty because it informs us that the path is our way forward in it.

This shot was taken along the wall in Rothenburg ob de Tauber in Germany. It is a medieval wall that almost encircles the entire old town still.  It is as rickety  as it looks. There are\ spiders and rats  rattling above you... a little more active the darker it gets outside.

I like the reduction to BW because it forces you to focus on the actual path and not on the details except those things that help you know its direction.  The shadows only help emphasize the lines and the focus on the path. I am pretty happy with this shot and I hope you like the journey too.
