Taking a break (Part 1)
After a long run you need to slow the pace, and catch your breath. Creatively the metaphor holds well. You can't always be shooting, editing and curating and presenting sometimes you need to stop, and look back. if only to better understand what you have done and how well you have reached your goals. Then take the needed time to regain your hunger for a great capture. Sometimes these breaks come as it did for me recently in the form of a vacation. Other times you just run out of creative juice as it were. Forcing yourself to go another lap as it were may produce some workmanlike product but the breaks are almost as important as the exercise. Like physical muscles, its during the break when you actually gain strength its during the break when you sharpen the arrows and decide how to strike with more effectiveness. Celebrate the breaks as you celebrate the hunt and you will find your hunting seasons long and prosperous.
